Bradley Barcola Responds to Liverpool Transfer Rumors – “£300M? Just a Number to Me”

French winger Bradley Barcola has finally spoken out amid mounting speculation about a potential move to Liverpool, downplaying the jaw-dropping £300 million fee being circulated by the media.

In a surprise Monday interview with L’Équipe, the Paris Saint-Germain star broke his silence, stating:
“I’ve seen the reports—£300 million, £250 million—it’s all just numbers. It doesn’t change who I am or how I play.”

Barcola, 21, had a standout season with PSG and is now being touted as a possible successor to Mohamed Salah, who is widely expected to head to Saudi Arabia this summer. Sources suggest Liverpool have already initiated talks with the player’s representatives. Although PSG are reluctant to sell, a substantial offer could shift the balance.

When asked directly about Liverpool, Barcola added:
“Liverpool is a huge club with a rich history. Any player would be proud. But I’m focused on my game. If I move, it’s to win. That’s what matters to me.”

The winger recorded 12 goals and 15 assists across all competitions last season, earning him comparisons to legendary Liverpool forwards thanks to his speed, skill, and creative play.

Following the interview, Liverpool fans lit up social media, with the hashtag #BarcolaToLiverpool trending rapidly.

Though no official bid has been placed yet, insiders say Liverpool are preparing a record-breaking offer. Whether Barcola makes the switch to Anfield remains uncertain—but the story is clearly far from finished.
