Although Newcastle’s Alexander Isak has been linked with a move to Anfield, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has downplayed those rumors, calling the deal “very difficult.” Instead, he mentioned Eintracht Frankfurt forward Hugo Ekitike as a more realistic target.
Romano told GiveMeSport:
“Liverpool might consider Isak if he becomes available, but at the moment, that doesn’t seem likely. A more realistic name is Hugo Ekitike. If Darwin Nunez leaves—as I believe he might—then Ekitike becomes a real option. Chelsea and Manchester United have also shown interest, but Liverpool could be a serious contender.”

Ekitike, currently at Eintracht Frankfurt, is a versatile attacker who can play both centrally and out wide. His flexibility would fit well with Slot’s tactical approach. While he excels as a central striker, his ability to pull defenders out of position and create space would benefit players like Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz
