Jules Koundé Reportedly Reaches Verbal Agreement to Extend Barcelona Contract
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, French defender Jules Koundé has verbally agreed to renew his contract with FC Barcelona. The player has made it clear to new manager Hansi Flick that he wants to remain at the club, and all parties are reportedly optimistic that a finalized deal will be reached soon.
Koundé was a key figure in Barcelona’s defense this past season, appearing in every match until the final weeks. Though his current contract runs until the summer of 2027, the club may be planning to extend his stay further.
Despite being on holiday, Koundé is said to be continuing his training to stay fit for preseason preparations.
