Liverpool approached by top winger as Luis Diaz prepares to exit

Liverpool have reportedly been contacted by the representatives of a world-class winger about a potential transfer, as Luis Diaz appears set to leave Anfield. Meanwhile, reports from Spain suggest that Arsenal’s hopes of signing the Real Madrid forward have taken a major hit.

Rodrygo, considered one of the finest attacking players globally, could leave Real Madrid this summer. According to The Athletic, both the club’s management and new coach Xabi Alonso are open to selling him, and Rodrygo is also believed to be seeking a new challenge.Despite interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, the 24-year-old prefers to remain in Europe. A source has revealed that Arsenal is currently his top choice.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly eager to land Rodrygo and is even willing to deploy him on the left wing. The club is ready to offer over €90 million (£78m/$106m), the amount Real Madrid is said to be demanding.

However, Liverpool could disrupt Arsenal’s plans. Luka Modric previously described Rodrygo as one of Madrid’s “world-class superstars,” and with Luis Diaz primarily playing on the left, Rodrygo could be seen as a natural replacement.

If Darwin Nunez leaves and Liverpool targets a new striker, Rodrygo could join Mohamed Salah and a new centre-forward to form a revamped front three.
