Manchester United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign three free agent strikers this summer: Jamie Vardy, Callum Wilson, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
With Ruben Amorim now in charge, United are actively looking to strengthen their attacking options after a disappointing 2024/25 Premier League season, where they scored only 44 goals in 38 matches.
These three forwards are all experienced Premier League players:
Jamie Vardy (38) – Former Leicester striker and Premier League winner
Callum Wilson (33) – Recently left Newcastle; known for his goal-poaching instincts
Dominic Calvert-Lewin (28) – Left Everton; offers physicality and aerial presence
While these players have been offered to the club, they are not the top priority. United are mainly focused on signing a high-level striker, with several names on their shortlist, including:
Viktor Gyökeres (Sporting Lisbon) – Looks close to joining Arsenal instead
Victor Osimhen (Napoli) – Talented but expensive, with high wage demands
Hugo Ekitike (Frankfurt), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), and Jonathan David (Lille) – All seen as strong options but would require big fees
Given financial constraints and the pressure to stay within Premier League spending rules, United could turn to one of the free agents later in the transfer window if they miss out on their main targets.
