Barcelona Shocked as Promising Young Talent Prepares Exit — A Blow to Pedri and Gavi
In a move that has stunned many within FC Barcelona, one of the club’s most promising young stars—often grouped with the likes of Pedri and Gavi—is on the verge of a permanent departure. Despite his strong performances earlier this season, and internal attempts by teammates to influence the decision, the coaching staff has reached a final verdict: the player will be leaving the club.
According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, the player is 21-year-old Pablo Torre, once regarded as a future cornerstone of the team after joining in 2022. Although Torre showcased significant promise during preseason under new coach Hansi Flick, fierce competition in midfield—especially with key players returning from injury—limited his chances of breaking into the starting eleven.
As confirmed by sources close to the club, Torre is now set to join Real Mallorca on a permanent basis. However, Barcelona has strategically included a buy-back clause and retained 50% of any future sale, making this not just a farewell, but a financially wise deal.
