Rodrygo has reportedly made it clear that if he leaves Real Madrid this summer, his preferred Premier League destination is Arsenal — not Liverpool or Chelsea.
The 24-year-old Brazilian winger has grown frustrated with limited playing time under new Madrid boss Xabi Alonso, featuring in just one match at the ongoing Club World Cup. This has fueled exit rumours, with Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal all expressing interest.
According to Diario AS, Rodrygo has informed his camp that Arsenal is his top choice should he move to England. The Gunners are said to be preparing a €90 million bid and view him as a potential upgrade on Gabriel Martinelli.
However, Arsenal’s imminent signing of Chelsea’s Noni Madueke may complicate a formal approach for Rodrygo. Alonso, meanwhile, has refused to confirm any future decisions on the winger, keeping the door open for Rodrygo to fight for his place at Madrid.
For now, while Liverpool and Chelsea retain interest, Arsenal remains Rodrygo’s preferred Premier League option — if Real Madrid agree to sell.
