Liverpool are pushing hard in the transfer market, reportedly confident of landing both Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike in a sensational £205.5m double deal, while also closing in on their sixth signing of the summer.
After already spending close to £200m on five players — including Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Freddie Woodman, and Armin Pecsi — Liverpool are far from finished. The club is actively working on reinforcing their attack, particularly with Darwin Nunez linked to a Saudi Pro League move.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that Liverpool have officially submitted a £120m bid for Newcastle’s Alexander Isak, who hasn’t ruled out a switch to Anfield. If Newcastle decline, Liverpool will shift focus to Hugo Ekitike of Eintracht Frankfurt, though an earlier €80m bid was rejected.
German outlet BILD adds that Liverpool believe they could pull off the surprise of the window by signing both Isak and Ekitike, a combined outlay of £120m for Isak and £86.5m for Ekitike.
Additionally, Liverpool are in advanced talks to sign Salford City’s teenage striker Will Wright, poised to become their sixth summer signing.
