Gabriel Magalhaes has made his Arsenal ambitions clear after signing a new five-year contract, rejecting interest from Saudi Arabia to commit his peak years to the Gunners.
The Brazilian centre-back, speaking on Arsenal’s pre-season tour in Asia, expressed confidence that the club is “ready to reach new heights” and is “doing everything to bring in top players” to compete for major honours.
After missing the final two months of last season through injury — during which Arsenal narrowly missed out on both the Premier League and Champions League — Gabriel is determined to help the team deliver silverware this time.
He praised Arsenal’s summer activity, particularly the arrival of Brentford’s Christian Norgaard, and hinted that more signings are expected, even as he declined to comment on links to Viktor Gyokeres.
Now fully fit, Gabriel is relishing his partnership with William Saliba and is eager to lead by example, believing this season could finally bring the trophies Arsenal has been chasing under Mikel Arteta.
