Manchester United have officially expressed interest in Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand and have already made contact with the Portuguese club regarding a possible transfer.
The 25-year-old Danish international has impressed with his commanding presence and leadership in midfield, drawing attention from several top European sides. Reports now reveal that Hjulmand has a £69 million release clause in his contract — a figure United may be forced to meet if Sporting refuse to negotiate a lower fee.
