If Liverpool manage to land Alexander Isak, the club reportedly believes they’re already well covered on the left side of attack. With Cody Gakpo offering quality from that position, Hugo Ekitike capable of playing out wide, and the exciting rise of Rio Ngumoha, there’s a sense of depth and potential in that area.
But in my view, after Isak, the focus must shift to the defense.
We still lack solid depth at centre-back, especially with Van Dijk aging and questions over Gomez and Konaté’s consistency and fitness. One injury could expose us badly.
Let’s secure Isak then turn our attention to reinforcing the backline before the season kicks off.
