Manchester United have discovered the huge price tag Brighton have set for midfielder Carlos Baleba, amid growing transfer speculation. Reports indicate the Seagulls want around €120 million (£104m) for the 20-year-old, making any potential move this summer extremely challenging.
Fabrizio Romano revealed that while Baleba is open to joining United, Brighton have no intention of selling him in this window and are not entertaining offers. This firm stance leaves the Red Devils facing an uphill battle if they want to secure his signature.
In a sign of just how highly fans rate the youngster, one devoted supporter has even launched a GoFundMe campaign to try and raise the £120 million fee. However, unless Brighton soften their stance, the deal is likely to remain off the table for now.
