TRANSFER BOMBSHELL: Barcelona are making WAVES in the transfer market!

Enzo Maresca has responded to Jamie Carragher’s recent comments about Chelsea’s Premier League title ambitions, where the pundit accused the Chelsea manager of “deceiving everyone” by downplaying the club’s chances.

Carragher’s remarks suggested that Maresca was deliberately lowering expectations despite Chelsea’s significant spending and deep squad.

Maresca, however, stood by his viewpoint, emphasizing that Chelsea is still in a transitional phase and not yet in a position to challenge for the Premier League title.

Addressing the media following recent performances, the Italian coach reiterated that while Chelsea has aspirations of reaching the top, they still lack the necessary ingredients to compete for the title at this stage.

When questioned about Carragher’s criticism, Maresca made it clear that Chelsea is focused on building a winning mentality and consistency, rather than relying solely on individual talent.

For Maresca, a title race is about more than just possessing skilled players—it’s about fostering an atmosphere where success is tangible, both on the field and in the locker room.

“You can smell it, you can feel it,” Maresca said. “And that’s probably why I said we are not ready, because we don’t feel it and we don’t smell it at this moment. Hopefully, we can get there soon, but right now, that’s one of the reasons why we’re not there.”
