In a frank critique, he warned that United could be walking into the same trap they did with Rasmus Højlund investing heavily in a young, promising striker who is still raw, unproven in the Premier League, and expected to shoulder the massive responsibility of leading the attack at Old Trafford.
He pointed out that Højlund, while talented, has endured a steep learning curve, facing intense scrutiny from fans and media as he adjusts to the physicality, pace, and pressure of English football.
In his view, Šeško could find himself in exactly the same situation burdened by expectation before he’s fully ready to deliver week in, week out.
And the criticism didn’t stop there.
The ex-United coach revealed that, in his opinion, the club should have gone for another top-level striker a player he feels is more polished, experienced, and capable of making an immediate impact.
By not pursuing that alternative, he suggested, United may have let a golden opportunity slip away.
