Arsenal is stepping up its efforts to secure a £64 million World Cup-winning striker from PSG, with Manchester United also showing strong interest.
Both clubs are looking to strengthen their squads during the January transfer window. Arsenal, under Mikel Arteta, has shown solid defensive form but is in need of additional attacking options to boost their offensive capabilities. Meanwhile, Manchester United, under Ruben Amorim, is at a crucial stage in its development and is keen to add one or two players to help meet their short-term objectives this season.
According to TBR Football, several Premier League teams have accelerated talks regarding a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. Both Arsenal and Manchester United are reportedly considering a loan deal for the French striker.
Kolo Muani, who had hoped to reclaim his place in Luis Enrique’s squad, has seen his role diminish with the return of Goncalo Ramos to full fitness. As a result, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Manchester City are all interested in signing him in January to strengthen their attacking ranks. PSG is reportedly open to allowing a loan move with an option to buy at a later date.
For Premier League clubs, Kolo Muani is said to be eager to move to England, making him an appealing option. Manchester City also views the striker as a potential solution to some of the issues Pep Guardiola is facing. Arsenal is actively seeking more options in attack, making a loan move for Kolo Muani in January particularly attractive.
United, on the other hand, is eager to enhance Amorim’s attacking options, and the loan deal for Kolo Muani fits well with their current needs. Although much of their squad is reportedly available for transfers, United is finding it challenging to finalize deals at the moment.
Sources at Old Trafford have emphasized that their interest in Kolo Muani is unrelated to the recent omissions of Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from the squad for the City match, which stemmed from concerns over their training habits.
