Lewis Koumas Joins Birmingham City on Season-Long Loan
Liverpool youngster Lewis Koumas has officially sealed a season-long loan switch to Birmingham City. The 19-year-old forward successfully passed his medical with the Championship side before the deal was finalized.
Koumas made his senior debut for Liverpool in a 3-0 FA Cup victory over Southampton during the 2023/24 campaign. At international level, he has already collected six caps for Wales.
The move was first reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Friday morning via X (formerly Twitter). Birmingham later confirmed the signing through their official channels.
Sharing his excitement about the move, Koumas said:
“Just how big of a club this is, how passionate the fans are, the project that I’ve heard about and after speaking to the gaffer, there was no other way about it – I was coming to Birmingham.”
