Arsenal’s interest in the 21-year-old German international emerged in September, while Liverpool has been tracking him since April, recognizing his talent as one of Europe’s top midfielders. Manchester City sent scouts to observe Musiala’s impressive performance in Bayern’s recent Champions League win over Benfica, where he scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory. Chelsea, meanwhile, has a historical link to Musiala, having previously had him in their Cobham academy.
Despite Bayern Munich’s attempts to extend Musiala’s contract ahead of 2025, no agreement has been reached. Over the past six months, the club has worked to convince him to renew his deal, with plans to pair him with Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz. Adding to the intrigue, Bayern’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, recently praised Musiala as a “world-class player” and a fan favorite. However, in a recent interview with Sport BILD, Musiala confirmed there were no major updates regarding his contract. He stated, “Unfortunately, I can’t give the fans a Christmas present. There won’t be any news soon. My focus remains on playing well.”
