Lamine Yamal will be absent for Barcelona’s upcoming La Liga match against Atletico Madrid due to an ankle injury.
As reported by Marca, Ferran Torres is the leading candidate to replace Yamal in the starting lineup for this important game. However, it’s uncertain where exactly Torres will play—he could be positioned on the right wing, or coach Hansi Flick might move him to the left, shifting Raphinha to the right.
Given Torres’ recent strong form, with five goals and two assists in 15 appearances this season—including four goals in his last four games—he is seen as a more likely option than Fermin Lopez to fill in for Yamal.
Additionally, reports suggest that Ansu Fati is also keen to step in and help Barcelona secure a victory over Atletico Madrid.
