Garden of Eden: Chelsea Files – Estevao’s Ambitious Clause and Rising Academy Stars for England

Eden Hazard is preparing for an emotional return to Stamford Bridge, where he will play for Chelsea for the first time since departing in 2019.

The Belgian legend has been back once before as a visitor, during Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final victory over Real Madrid in 2021, which ultimately led to their triumph against Manchester City in the final.

This time, Hazard will once again wear Chelsea blue as he lines up in the Chelsea Legends match against Liverpool Legends on October 11 at Stamford Bridge—a stadium fondly nicknamed “The Garden of Eden” in his honour.

Hazard enjoyed many memorable moments against Liverpool during his career, most notably his stunning Carabao Cup goal at Anfield, where he weaved past five defenders before slotting the ball into the far corner.

He will be joined in the Legends game by club greats such as John Terry, Roberto Di Matteo, Ramires, Joe Cole, Katie Chapman, Carlo Cudicini, William Gallas, and Gemma Davison. Chelsea will be eager to settle the score after losing 2-0 to Liverpool Legends at Anfield earlier this year.

The match will raise funds for the Chelsea FC Foundation and the Chelsea Players’ Trust, supporting the club’s community and charitable initiatives.
