Liverpool fans are calling for serious conversations about one of their struggling stars after the tense clash with Burnley.
Following the Reds’ latest outing, supporters flocked to social media to voice their frustrations.
Before kick-off, Liverpool had already slipped down the Premier League table, with both Arsenal and Tottenham securing wins earlier in the weekend. Despite being the only team to hold a flawless record going into this round—thanks to victories over Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Arsenal—Arne Slot’s men found themselves under pressure to deliver.
Burnley’s defense proved difficult to break down, forcing Liverpool into long-range efforts. For much of the game, the Reds looked short of ideas in the final third.
Deep into stoppage time, however, fortune swung their way. A handball by Hannibal handed Mohamed Salah the chance from the spot, and the Egyptian coolly converted to preserve Liverpool’s perfect run and lift them back to the Premier League summit.
Still, not everyone was impressed. Despite scoring the winner, Salah came under heavy criticism from fans, many insisting he was ineffective for most of the match. Some reactions read:

Liverpool now turn their focus to Europe, beginning their Champions League campaign on Wednesday night at Anfield against Atletico Madrid.
