Liverpool briefly thought they had equalized through Virgil Van Dijk, but a VAR review confirmed Andy Robertson was offside in the build-up, ruling the goal out. City then extended their lead before halftime with a strike from Nico Gonzalez, and Jeremy Doku’s second-half effort sealed the victory.
