Szoboszlai Monitored by Real Madrid and Manchester City
Meanwhile, reports from AS indicate that both Real Madrid and Manchester City are closely tracking Dominik Szoboszlai at Liverpool. The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined from RB Leipzig in 2023, has been one of the standout performers for the Reds.
Liverpool are reportedly concerned about his contract and long-term future. Currently earning around €130,000 (£114,000) per week, Szoboszlai’s wages are considered modest compared to peers at other elite European clubs. The club is said to be keen on extending his deal until 2030, offering improved terms in recognition of his performances.
Despite interest from other clubs, Szoboszlai has reaffirmed his commitment to Liverpool. Speaking to ESPN, the Hungarian midfielder said:
“We have enough leaders with Virgil, Mo, Robbo, and Ali — they’ve been here for years. I just try to do my best on the pitch. If it seems like I’m a leader, then I’ll keep doing that on the pitch, not outside of it.”
