Chelsea delivered a commanding performance to defeat Barcelona 3–0 in their latest Champions League group-stage clash. Even before Barcelona were reduced to 10 men, the Blues were dominant, repeatedly breaking through the Catalan defence and creating numerous scoring opportunities.
Three of Chelsea’s goals were disallowed due to offside, handball, and other referee decisions, yet the team still finished with three on the scoreboard. Had all efforts counted, Chelsea could easily have scored four, five, six, or even seven goals.
Jules Koundé’s own goal opened the scoring, setting the tone for Chelsea’s relentless attacking display. Barcelona’s challenge became more difficult when Ronald Araujo received a red card before halftime. Early in the second half, Estêvão doubled Chelsea’s lead with a brilliant finish, and substitute Liam Delap sealed the victory after an impressive run.
