Arsenal’s Pursuit of Zubimendi
As reported yesterday, Arsenal has reignited its interest in Martin Zubimendi and expects to finalize his transfer in the summer.
Zubimendi has a €60m (£51 million) release clause that will need to be paid in full, similar to the fee Arsenal paid for Thomas Partey a few years ago.
However, The Athletic reports that Arsenal may opt to pay slightly more in total if Real Sociedad agrees to allow them to spread payments over several years, a strategy Manchester United recently used with Joshua Zirkzee.
