As the presidential election of the Football Federation approaches, the news, rumors and speculations about the candidates have heated up.

In this regard, Reza Darwish, CEO of Persepolis Club, denied participating in the elections and said: I don’t know where these rumors come from and why my name has been mentioned for the presidency of the Football Federation, even though I have not even thought about it.

He clarified: Maybe there are friends who are kind to me, but I really have no intention to be a candidate for the Football Federation. I reject this matter seriously. It is a great honor for me to serve Persepolis and its fans.

He said: Persepolis has gone through great changes in these few years, which, along with winning championship titles and privatization, have been among the most important. We have enough work to do. From here, on behalf of us and the Persepolis club, we wish success to the president of the next round of our country’s football federation, whoever he is.
