Another goal. Another statement. Another reminder that Hamza Abdelkarim is not just here to make up the numbers. 🇪🇬🔥
The Egyptian striker continues to make his presence felt at Barcelona, and every appearance seems to bring another reason for supporters to get excited about this exciting young No. 9. 🎯⚽️
At just 18, Abdelkarim has already enjoyed a remarkable rise. After developing at Al Ahly, the powerful forward made the move to Barcelona and quickly began attracting attention with his performances. His preseason form has been particularly eye-catching, with four goals in five appearances, finishing Barcelona’s six-match preparation as their leading scorer.
And now he’s doing it again. 🚨🔥
What makes Hamza so exciting isn’t simply his ability to finish chances. He has the profile of a traditional centre-forward: strong movement inside the box, an imposing physical presence, intelligent positioning and the instinct to attack crosses. Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has specifically praised his ability to get on the end of crosses and hold the ball up.
That is exactly what you want from a pure No. 9. 💯
Give him space in the box and he knows what to do. Put a dangerous cross into the area and he attacks it. Give him a chance and he has shown that he can punish you. 🎯
His development has been rapid. Abdelkarim impressed with Egypt’s youth teams, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances for the Under-17 side, before earning senior international recognition and eventually becoming one of the youngest players associated with Egypt’s 2026 World Cup squad.
Even FIFA has highlighted his emergence as one of the exciting young talents coming through the Egyptian system. 🌟🇪🇬
There is still plenty for him to learn, of course. He is only 18, and Barcelona is an entirely different level of pressure. But the early signs are extremely encouraging.
The confidence is growing. The goals are coming. The movement is improving. And most importantly, he looks like a striker who genuinely understands what his job is. 🔥
Barcelona have been searching for solutions at centre-forward, and Abdelkarim’s form has certainly given Hansi Flick something serious to think about. His performances have already sparked discussion about whether the Egyptian youngster could play a bigger role than initially expected.
From Al Ahly’s academy to Barcelona, Hamza Abdelkarim’s journey is moving at frightening speed. 🚀🇪🇬
And if he keeps scoring like this, the conversation around the young Egyptian won’t be about potential for much longer.
It will be about how quickly he can become a star. ⭐🔥
