Manchester United are going all-out to get Carlos Baleba through the door, and the latest developments suggest this transfer could be heading towards a dramatic conclusion. 🔴👀
United have continued pushing hard for the Brighton midfielder, with fresh contacts taking place as the club attempts to close the agreement as quickly as possible. The Red Devils have made Baleba one of their major midfield priorities, and negotiations are now at an advanced stage.
💰 United’s offer is understood to be around £65 million, made up of approximately £60m up front plus £5m in potential add-ons. That represents a significant change from Brighton’s much higher valuation of Baleba in previous transfer windows.
And there is another huge piece of the puzzle: Baleba has reportedly already agreed personal terms with Manchester United, with a five-year contract prepared for the Cameroon international once the clubs complete the final details. 👀✍️
The 22-year-old has been on United’s radar for a long time, and the club’s determination to sign him makes perfect sense. Michael Carrick is looking to add more power, athleticism and defensive security to his midfield, and Baleba fits that profile almost perfectly. 💪🏾⚡
Since joining Brighton from Lille in 2023, Baleba has developed into a powerful Premier League midfielder capable of winning duels, covering huge amounts of ground and driving through midfield. He has already made 112 appearances for Brighton, giving him valuable experience at the highest level.
🔥 What makes this pursuit even more interesting is how dramatically the situation has changed. United were previously priced out when Brighton placed a valuation of around £100m or more on their midfielder. Now, with negotiations progressing around a much lower figure, United have a genuine opportunity to land a player they have admired for more than a year.
United have already strengthened their midfield with Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos, but Baleba would provide something different: physical dominance, defensive intensity and the ability to operate as a natural No. 6. His arrival could give United’s midfield a completely different balance. 🔴🧱
There is still work to be done before supporters can celebrate officially, particularly around the final fee and structure of the agreement. But the momentum is undeniable. Reports indicate that Baleba is preparing to travel to Manchester for a medical once the club-to-club deal is formally completed. 🚨🏥
Manchester United are pushing. Brighton are negotiating. Baleba is reportedly ready.
Now, it could all come down to the final details. 👀🔥
Carlos Baleba to Manchester United is getting VERY close. 🔴💰✍️
