Manchester United’s pursuit of Carlos Baleba is reportedly on the verge of reaching its long-awaited conclusion, with the Cameroon international now seemingly just moments away from becoming the latest major addition to Michael Carrick’s midfield revolution. 🔥🔴
According to the latest reports, Baleba has completed his medical examinations after travelling to Manchester, removing one of the biggest remaining hurdles in the deal. Reports have also indicated that the midfielder has now carried out his media duties, meaning the formal announcement could be the final step before everything becomes official. 🩺📸✅
The transfer has been gathering serious momentum since United reached an agreement with Brighton. Reuters reported that the deal is structured around an initial £65 million fee, with a further £5 million potentially available in add-ons, while Brighton also secured a sell-on clause.
And this is no ordinary midfield signing. 👀🔥
Baleba, 22, has developed a reputation as a physically powerful and energetic midfielder, capable of winning possession, carrying the ball forward and providing the intensity required in the middle of the pitch. His arrival would give United another defensive-minded option alongside the club’s other midfield additions, Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
For United, the move is particularly significant because Baleba was already a long-standing target. Brighton previously placed a huge valuation on the midfielder, reportedly around £100 million or more, making a potential deal at the reported £65m initial fee look like a considerably different proposition. 💰👀
Michael Carrick has repeatedly stressed the importance of building a strong midfield foundation, and Baleba’s profile fits perfectly with that objective. United want greater physicality, energy and defensive security through the centre of the team, and the Cameroonian could provide exactly that. 💪⚽
Now, after weeks of negotiations, travelling, medical checks and media commitments, the waiting game appears to be almost over. ⏳🚨
Manchester United fans are already counting down to the moment the club finally drops the official announcement. 🔴👀
Carlos Baleba to Manchester United is reportedly at the final stage. The medical is done, media duties are done, and the official unveiling is now the big one everyone is waiting for! 🔥🔴✅
