With the transfer rumours surrounding Gabriel Martinelli reaching fever pitch, Arsenal fans are being forced to confront a possibility many would never have imagined: the Brazilian winger could be approaching the end of his journey in North London. 😢🔴⚪
Reports on August 25 indicate that negotiations between Arsenal and Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal are advancing, with figures around £50m to £55m being discussed. Some reports suggest the deal could even become Arsenal’s biggest-ever player sale if completed.
Martinelli has reportedly been left out of Arsenal’s matchday squads at the beginning of the new campaign, adding even more fuel to the speculation surrounding his future.
And that is what makes this story so painful for Gunners supporters. This is not simply another player whose name has appeared in the transfer news.
This is Gabi Martinelli. ❤️
The Brazilian arrived at Arsenal in 2019 as a relatively unknown teenager and gradually transformed himself into one of the most exciting attackers at the Emirates. Across 278 appearances, he has reportedly contributed 62 goals and 36 assists.
There have been unforgettable nights, explosive runs, dramatic goals and moments when Martinelli looked completely unplayable. ⚡🇧🇷
One of the most iconic memories remains his performance against Liverpool, where his frightening pace and relentless running caused chaos for one of Europe’s strongest defences. His ability to turn a defensive situation into an attack in seconds became one of his trademarks.
Then there were his European nights. During Arsenal’s 2025/26 Champions League campaign, Martinelli made history by becoming the first Arsenal player to score in five consecutive Champions League appearances.
Those moments are exactly why the current situation feels so strange.
For years, Arsenal supporters watched Martinelli develop from a raw youngster into a player capable of producing magic when the game opened up. His acceleration, direct running and willingness to attack defenders made him one of the most exciting players in the squad. 🔥
But football can be brutally ruthless.
Arsenal have reshaped their attacking options, while Martinelli’s position in the pecking order has become increasingly uncertain. Reports have linked the club with further attacking reinforcements, while the possibility of Martinelli leaving for Al Hilal continues to gather momentum.
Even Arsenal legend Ian Wright has publicly questioned how the situation has been handled, arguing that Martinelli deserves respect for everything he has contributed to the club.
That has only made the debate more explosive. 💥
Some fans believe Arsenal should cash in while Martinelli still commands a substantial fee. Others believe selling him could become one of those decisions the club eventually regrets.
And then comes the emotional question every Gooner has to answer…
If the transfer is officially confirmed, what will your reaction be? 😭
Will you thank Martinelli for the memories and wish him well in Saudi Arabia? 🇸🇦❤️
Will you be angry that Arsenal allowed one of their most recognisable players to leave?
Or will you believe that, considering the direction of the squad and the money involved, it is simply the right football decision?
And there is one more question for the Gunners…
🔥 What is your favourite Gabriel Martinelli moment in an Arsenal shirt?
Was it one of his unforgettable goals against Liverpool?
⚡ One of those devastating runs down the left wing?
🏆 A Champions League night?
🇧🇷 His rise from teenage prospect to established Arsenal star?
❤️ Or simply the countless moments when he played with that fearless Brazilian energy?
Because if this really is the beginning of the end, Arsenal fans may soon realise just how much Martinelli has contributed to the club’s story.
One thing is certain: Gabi Martinelli has given Arsenal supporters plenty of memories to argue about, celebrate and cherish. 🔴⚪✨
And if that final goodbye eventually comes, it could be one of the most emotional exits of the summer. 💔
Gooners, be honest… would you sell Martinelli for £50m+ or fight to keep him at Arsenal? 👀🔥
