If you’re a true Manchester United fan, don’t scroll past this without dropping a ❤️ for Kobbie Mainoo! 🥰🔴
The Stockport-born midfielder has come a long way since breaking through at Old Trafford. After rising through United’s academy, Mainoo quickly established himself as one of the club’s most exciting young talents, earning senior England recognition and producing some unforgettable moments in a red shirt.
And now, at just 21, the midfielder finds himself at another important stage of his United journey. Despite increased competition following the club’s major midfield recruitment this summer, Mainoo continues to show why supporters believe he deserves a major role in the team.
🔥 Against Ipswich Town, Mainoo was back in the starting XI as Michael Carrick reshaped his midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes and Youri Tielemans. United went on to produce a spectacular 5-2 victory at Old Trafford, with Mainoo praised for his influence in the middle of the pitch.
That performance was another reminder of the quality Mainoo possesses. 🧠⚽ His composure, ball control and ability to operate under pressure make him a player many United supporters simply do not want to see overlooked.
There has already been plenty of debate surrounding his place following United’s expensive midfield rebuild, with Carlos Baleba, Andrey Santos and Tielemans adding serious competition. But Mainoo’s supporters believe competition should push him forward rather than push him aside.
❤️🔥 He’s one of our own.
💪 He has the talent.
🔴 He has the mentality.
🔥 And he still has so much more to give.
Mainoo also signed a new five-year contract earlier this year, underlining United’s long-term commitment to the academy graduate.
So, Red Devils, show the boy some love! ❤️🔴
