Barcelona have finalized their captaincy hierarchy for the 2026/27 season, and there are some seriously interesting changes inside the dressing room! 😮💨🔵🔴
Hansi Flick has decided to keep Raphinha as Barcelona’s first captain, with Pedri taking the second spot. The remaining positions were determined through a vote among the players, creating a leadership group that perfectly blends experience, personality and the future of the club.
👑 1️⃣ Raphinha 🇧🇷
🎩 2️⃣ Pedri 🇪🇸
🛡️ 3️⃣ Eric García 🇪🇸
🧠 4️⃣ Frenkie de Jong 🇳🇱
🌟 5️⃣ Lamine Yamal 🇪🇸
Raphinha’s appointment is particularly significant. The Brazilian has become one of the most influential figures in Flick’s Barça, and his leadership has continued to grow alongside his performances. He was also among the stars of Barça’s explosive start to the season, scoring twice in the 5️⃣-2️⃣ victory over Rayo Vallecano. 🔥⚽
Then comes Pedri. The midfield maestro has steadily transformed from a teenage wonderkid into one of Barcelona’s most important senior figures. His calmness, intelligence and influence make him a natural choice to stand directly behind Raphinha. 🧊🎯
But the biggest surprise? LAMINE YAMAL IS NOW A CAPTAIN! 😱👑
At just 19 years old, Yamal has already climbed into Barça’s five-man leadership group. His inclusion is a huge statement about how highly the club and his teammates value his influence. 🚀
And this isn’t simply about age. Yamal is already producing on the biggest stage. He recently reached 50 official goals in Spanish club football, becoming the youngest player ever to reach that milestone. 🤯🔥
For Frenkie de Jong, the fourth-place position represents a major change in the hierarchy. The Dutchman has previously held a higher position among Barça’s captains, but he remains firmly inside the leadership group. Meanwhile, Eric García has also earned the trust of his teammates with a third-place ranking. 💪🔵🔴
The new order reflects a changing Barcelona.
The old guard is making way for a new generation, while players like Raphinha provide the experience and personality needed to guide them. Flick’s Barça are becoming younger, more dynamic and increasingly confident. 🌱🔥
And imagine this leadership group in a few years…
Raphinha passing the torch to Pedri… Pedri guiding Yamal… and Yamal eventually becoming the face of Barcelona’s captaincy. 👀👑
The future of Barça isn’t coming.
THE FUTURE IS ALREADY WEARING THE ARMBAND. 🔵🔴🔥
