The Champions League is back, and Barcelona are preparing to unleash a seriously dangerous-looking side against Feyenoord at Spotify Camp Nou. With Hansi Flick’s men flying high domestically, expectations are already sky-high ahead of Wednesday’s European opener.
After Barcelona’s sensational 5-0 demolition of Valencia, confidence around the squad has gone through the roof. Lamine Yamal grabbed two goals, while Raphinha, Fermín López and Pedri also found the net, with Rodri making his first start for the club and adding control to the midfield.
And now comes the big question: who gets the nod against Feyenoord? 👀
🧤 Joan García
Joan García is expected to continue between the posts as Flick looks to maintain stability at the back.
🛡️ Koundé, Cubarsí, Christensen & Cancelo
With Eric García suspended for the Champions League opener, Flick has a defensive puzzle to solve. Jules Koundé is expected to return at right-back, while Pau Cubarsí and Andreas Christensen could form the central partnership. João Cancelo is also being tipped to start on the left.
⚙️ Rodri, Pedri & Fermín
Now THIS midfield has Barça fans dreaming. 😮💨🔥
Rodri’s arrival gives Barcelona another level of control and defensive security, while Pedri provides the creativity and rhythm. Fermín, meanwhile, is pushing hard for a starting role after his impressive performances.
The Rodri-Pedri combination could become one of the most fascinating midfield partnerships in Europe this season. 👀
⚡ Yamal, Raphinha & Anthony Gordon
And then there’s the attack…
Lamine Yamal. Raphinha. Anthony Gordon. 😭🔥
That front three could cause absolute chaos.
Yamal enters the game after another brilliant display against Valencia, while Raphinha has started the campaign like a man possessed. The Brazilian has already scored six league goals in four matches and has quickly become one of Barcelona’s biggest attacking weapons.
Gordon has also impressed with his direct running and creativity, giving Barça another outlet capable of stretching Feyenoord’s defence.
🚨 THE POSSIBLE XI
🧤 Joan García
🛡️ Koundé – Cubarsí – Christensen – Cancelo
⚙️ Fermín – Rodri – Pedri
⚡ Lamine Yamal – Raphinha – Anthony Gordon
If Flick actually sends out something close to this XI, Barcelona could have frightening amounts of pace, creativity and control all over the pitch. 🔥🔵🔴
And after smashing Valencia 5-0, Barça will be looking to carry that momentum straight into Europe.
Feyenoord, you’ve got a problem. 😭💀
👀 Would you start this XI against Feyenoord, or would you make changes? 🔥
