Ronald Araújo has delivered a huge statement about Barcelona’s chances of conquering Europe this season, insisting that the Catalan giants belong firmly among the favourites for the Champions League. 🌍🏆
The Uruguayan defender showed plenty of respect for Liverpool, describing the Premier League giants as a team of the same stature as Barça. 👀🔥 His comments carry even more weight after Liverpool opened their own Champions League campaign with a dramatic 2️⃣-1️⃣ comeback victory over Atlético Madrid at Anfield.
But when the conversation turns to Barça, Araújo’s confidence is unmistakable. ❤️💙
🗣️ “Of course, Barça are among the favourites to win the Champions League.”
And Barcelona certainly gave their supporters plenty of reasons to believe him. 😮💨🔥 In their Champions League opener, Hansi Flick’s side absolutely demolished Feyenoord 5️⃣-1️⃣ at Spotify Camp Nou.
Raphinha was unstoppable, grabbing a brace, while Karim Adeyemi, Lamine Yamal and Gabriel Jesus also found the net. ⚽🔥 Lamine added another spectacular chapter to his growing European story with a goal and two assists, while Gabriel Jesus made an instant impact by scoring shortly after coming off the bench.
The performance sent a clear message across Europe: Barça are not entering this Champions League campaign just to participate. They are coming with serious ambition. 😤🏆
Under Flick, the team is combining frightening attacking quality with a growing sense of maturity. Raphinha continues to deliver, Lamine looks increasingly impossible to contain, and the addition of players such as Rodri, Gabriel Jesus and Karim Adeyemi has added even more quality to an already dangerous squad. 🔥🔵🔴
Araújo also made it clear that despite his current chapter with Liverpool, he continues to keep a close eye on his former Barcelona teammates and is genuinely delighted with their progress. ❤️👏
That makes his prediction even more interesting. He knows the Barça dressing room, understands the mentality of the club and has experienced the pressure that comes with wearing the Blaugrana shirt on Europe’s biggest nights. 🌟
And with Barça starting their European journey with a ruthless 5️⃣-1️⃣ victory, Araújo’s words suddenly look less like simple praise and more like a serious warning to the rest of Europe. 👀🔥
The road to the trophy is long. PSG are defending champions, Liverpool have already shown their strength, Arsenal remain among Europe’s elite, and Real Madrid are always lurking. But Barcelona have made their intentions crystal clear from day one. 🏆🌍
❤️💙 Barça believe. Araújo believes. And after that 5️⃣-1️⃣ Champions League statement… should Europe be worried? 😳🔥
