The proposed line-up highlights just how much attacking firepower United now have. Benjamin Šeško leads the attack, with Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo providing pace, creativity and movement around him.
Šeško gives United a completely different dimension. His size, physicality and ability to attack the box provide a genuine focal point, while Rashford and Mbeumo can threaten from wide areas and Bruno can drift into dangerous pockets to create chances.
Behind them, Kobbie Mainoo and Youri Tielemans offer an intriguing midfield partnership. Mainoo brings composure and ball progression, while Tielemans can dictate play with his passing and experience. If Carrick can get the balance right, this could become one of United’s most technically gifted midfield combinations. 🧠⚽
But the alternatives make the situation even more interesting.
Matheus Cunha can operate behind the striker and bring creativity between the lines, Mason Mount offers relentless movement and pressing, while Amad provides another unpredictable attacking option. Manuel Ugarte and Carlos Santos also give Carrick different options when United need more defensive protection or energy in midfield.
The biggest challenge may not be finding quality players.
It may be deciding who has to sit on the bench. 😳
At the back, Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martínez, Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Noussair Mazraoui give Carrick plenty of defensive options, while Senne Lammens continues to compete for the goalkeeper position.
