Liverpool are preparing to return to Premier League action against Fulham at Anfield today

with Andoni Iraola facing some interesting selection decisions after the Reds’ midweek Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid. The match kicks off at 3pm BST.

The biggest attraction is once again Alexander Isak leading the attack. The Swedish striker has already made a flying start to life at Anfield, scoring three Premier League goals so far, including a match-winning double against Ipswich Town in Liverpool’s previous league outing.

Behind him, Florian Wirtz is expected to operate in the No.10 role, giving Liverpool another creative outlet between the lines. The German has quickly become one of the central figures in Iraola’s attacking system.

The proposed front three around Wirtz could see Cody Gakpo and Víctor Muñoz join Isak, although Gakpo’s fitness remains a major question. He missed the Atlético Madrid game with an adductor issue, meaning Rio Ngumoha and Bradley Barcola are also genuine options.

In midfield, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai are shown in the circulating XI, offering a combination of physical power, ball carrying and attacking threat.

At the back, the image features Virgil van Dijk alongside Ronald Araújo, with Kostas Tsimikas and Jeremie Frimpong providing width from the full-back positions. However, current predicted line-ups from several outlets have Milos Kerkez and Joe/Joachim Jacquet involved instead, showing just how uncertain the final XI remains before the official team sheet.

Alisson Becker remains the expected man between the posts.

One thing is certain: Liverpool have plenty of firepower. Isak, Wirtz, Gakpo, Muñoz, Szoboszlai and the full-back options give Iraola an enormous number of attacking combinations.

Fulham, meanwhile, arrive at Anfield desperate for a result after losing their opening three Premier League matches. New manager Álvaro Arbeloa has seen his side concede seven league goals, but Fulham have also shown attacking promise and will not simply sit back.

With Liverpool looking to build momentum and Fulham fighting to finally get their league campaign moving, Anfield could be in for another explosive afternoon. 🔥🔴
