Former Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has sparked a hilarious little debate after taking to social media with a simple question:
“So am I a Premier League winner?” 🏆😭
The post has caught attention because Williams was part of United’s first team during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 Premier League campaigns, making 21 league appearances for the club across those two seasons.
But here’s the interesting part 👀
Williams’ United career coincided with a period when the club came close to challenging for the Premier League title, but United did not win the competition during the seasons in which he made his senior Premier League appearances.
In 2019/20, United finished third, while the following campaign saw them finish second. Williams made four Premier League appearances in that 2020/21 season.
So why the sudden question? 🤔

Williams came through United’s academy and broke into the senior side under Ole Gunnar Solskjær. His breakthrough 2019/20 campaign saw him make 17 Premier League appearances, scoring once, before making a further four league appearances the following season.
He eventually left United on loan, spending the 2021/22 season with Norwich City before later moving on from Old Trafford.
