After the end of the match against Atalanta… Barcelona star is in a state of extreme frustration and anger over Hansi Flick’s actions towards him

Barcelona played out a 2-2 draw against Atalanta in their final Champions League group stage match, securing second place with 19 points.

Although they had the chance to finish top of the group with a win, they failed to capitalize on Liverpool’s loss, leaving them in second and pushing the dream of top spot to another round.

Following the match, frustration and anger have been brewing within Barcelona’s squad, particularly with goalkeeper Iñaki Peña, who has been repeatedly overlooked by coach Hansi Flick.

Despite Peña’s solid performances in previous games, Flick’s continued preference for Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny—who has made costly mistakes recently—has deepened Peña’s frustration. He feels that the treatment is unjust, and his growing dissatisfaction with his situation has led him to seriously consider his future with the club.

The Spanish goalkeeper is contemplating leaving in search of more playing time, as his exclusion has intensified his feelings of isolation. After the game against Atalanta, teammates Pedri and Raphinha approached Peña to offer support, reassuring him that he was the right choice to be Barcelona’s goalkeeper and that he didn’t deserve the treatment he was receiving.

Barcelona’s handling of Peña’s situation now requires immediate attention. His continued neglect could affect the team’s morale, and with the goalkeeper now contemplating his future, the club may face a critical decision regarding his role.
