Imagine this: Manchester City are relegated and suddenly some of the biggest names in world football become available for a potential transfer battle. 😳💣
That scenario has become a hot topic after reports that City were found guilty of 114 of the 115 Premier League financial-rule charges brought against them. No sporting punishment has been confirmed yet, and City are expected to appeal, but possible sanctions could have enormous consequences for the club and its squad.
And if the unthinkable happened, Barça would surely be among the clubs watching closely. 👀🔵🔴
🇳🇴 ERLING HAALAND immediately jumps off the page.
The Norwegian goal machine would be the ultimate blockbuster target. With Barça always looking for elite attacking quality, a world-class No.9 of Haaland’s profile would completely transform the attacking options. Reports have already linked him with Barcelona in a hypothetical post-City exit scenario.
Imagine Lamine Yamal feeding Haaland… 😭🔥
Imagine Raphinha cutting inside while Haaland attacks the box… 🤯
Imagine Barça having that physical presence alongside their technical football. 💀
But Haaland isn’t the only City superstar who could attract Barça.
🇵🇹 RÚBEN DIAS could provide experience and leadership at centre-back, while 🇭🇷 JOŠKO GVARDIOL offers the versatility to operate in both central defence and at left-back.
🏴 PHIL FODEN would also be an intriguing option. The City academy graduate has the technical quality to operate between the lines and combine with Barça’s possession-based style.
🇧🇪 JÉRÉMY DOKU brings something completely different: explosive acceleration, direct running and elite one-on-one ability. Put him against tired defenders at Camp Nou and things could get VERY dangerous. ⚡🔥
And then there’s 🇵🇹 BERNARDO SILVA, a player who has been associated with Barça for years. His creativity, intelligence and ability to play multiple midfield and attacking roles would make him an obvious name whenever Barcelona and Manchester City are mentioned together. Previous reporting has specifically identified Barça as a possible destination for Bernardo in a relegation scenario.
👀 One important detail: Rodri is no longer an option because Barça already completed his transfer from Manchester City in August 2026, with the midfielder signing until June 2030.
So now the BIG question is…
💙❤️ If Manchester City were relegated, which ONE City superstar should Barcelona target?
🇳🇴 Haaland
🇵🇹 Rúben Dias
🇭🇷 Gvardiol
🇧🇪 Doku
🏴 Foden
🇵🇹 Bernardo Silva
🔥 Barça fans, imagine ONE of them walking into Camp Nou! Who are you taking?
