João Félix has reignited the Barcelona conversation after opening up about his deep emotional connection with the Catalan giants. 👀💙❤️
The Portuguese forward revealed that playing for Barça was not simply another chapter in his career. It was a childhood dream shared with his father and brother, making his time at Camp Nou something he still looks back on with enormous pride. 🥹🔵🔴
Félix spent the 2023/24 season at Barcelona on loan from Atlético Madrid, and although the team did not lift a trophy during that campaign, the experience clearly left a lasting impression on him.
🇵🇹 “Simply playing for Barcelona already made me very happy. I was very happy to have worn the Barça shirt. It was a childhood dream for me, my father and my brother. It was an honour.”
And now comes the interesting part… 👀🔥
Félix is currently enjoying life at Al Nassr after a remarkable season in Saudi Arabia, where he helped the club win the league and was named the competition’s best player. His performances have also restored confidence after several difficult seasons in Europe. 🌟🇸🇦
But despite being comfortable in Saudi Arabia, the 26-year-old has admitted that a return to European football is still somewhere in his plans.
Champions League football is calling him again. 🏆🌍
Félix says he doesn’t know whether his European return will happen next season, in two years, or even further down the line, but the desire is definitely there.
And if Barcelona were part of that story again? Well… his words certainly give Barça supporters something to dream about. 😏🔵🔴
The Portuguese star also spoke passionately about Lamine Yamal, admitting that the young Barça superstar is one of the players who makes him want to switch on the television and simply watch football. 📺✨
Félix knows Yamal well from their time together at Barcelona, and his admiration for the teenager is obvious. He praised the way Lamine plays with freedom, takes on opponents and entertains supporters. 🔥🇪🇸
There was also a hilarious moment when Félix was asked about the possibility of playing for Real Madrid.
His response? 😂
🇵🇹 He joked that joining Madrid after playing for Barça would have made him “the biggest traitor in football.”
That certainly shows where his emotional connection lies! 😭😂🔵🔴
For now, there is no confirmed Barcelona move or active agreement involving Félix. His comments are about his affection for the club and his broader ambition to return to European competition, not an announcement of a transfer.
But one thing is becoming very clear…
❤️ João Félix may have left Barcelona, but Barcelona clearly never left João Félix’s heart.
Could we one day see João Félix back in Blaugrana? 👀🔵🔴🔥
