Barcelona have received some very positive news ahead of their return to LaLiga action, with Eric García, Joan García and Raphinha all expected to be available for the clash against Getafe at Spotify Camp Nou.
The timing could hardly be better for Hansi Flick. After the international break, Barça will return to their home ground with three important players back in contention, giving the manager more options as the team looks to continue its strong start to the league campaign.
Joan García’s return is particularly important between the posts. The goalkeeper had been sidelined with a knee problem, but the recovery timeline has pointed towards his availability for the Getafe match.
Eric García is also expected to be ready after returning early from Spain duty because of knee discomfort. Medical checks reportedly found an edema, with the defender undergoing specific recovery work ahead of the league’s return.
And then there is Raphinha! The Brazilian attacker left international duty after experiencing discomfort, but further examinations ruled out a significant injury. Reports indicate that he should be available for Barça’s first match after the international break.
Barça will face Getafe on Saturday, October 10 at Spotify Camp Nou in Matchday 8 of LaLiga. Barcelona have started the campaign with seven victories from seven league matches, while Getafe have collected eight points from their opening seven games.
With Raphinha back to add attacking quality, Eric García providing defensive depth and Joan García returning in goal, Flick could have a much stronger squad at his disposal.
Camp Nou is ready. Barça are coming home. And the return of three key players has given Culers another reason to be excited.
