Raphinha is officially LaLiga Player of the Month for September… and this time, there is absolutely no debate about how explosive his month was! 🤯🏆
After taking home the award for August, the Barcelona captain has gone back-to-back, becoming the standout player in LaLiga for a second consecutive month. 🇧🇷👑
And the numbers behind the award are absolutely outrageous! 😮💨🔥
⚽ 7 goals
🎯 2 assists
🏆 September Player of the Month
🏆 August Player of the Month
👑 Barça captain
🥇 12 LaLiga goals this season
Raphinha was simply unstoppable throughout September. He scored against Valencia before producing back-to-back hat-tricks against Racing Santander and Sevilla. Six goals in those two matches alone! 🤯🔥
His hat-trick against Racing helped Barça destroy their opponents 7-2, before he repeated the madness days later at Sevilla, scoring all three goals in a 3-1 victory. A perfect right-foot finish, a header and a left-foot strike completed another sensational hat-trick. 🥶⚽⚽⚽
But perhaps the biggest change has been his role.
Hansi Flick has increasingly used Raphinha as a central forward, rather than keeping him exclusively on the wing. The Brazilian has responded by becoming one of Barça’s most dangerous goal threats.
And now the statistics are becoming ridiculous. Raphinha currently leads the LaLiga scoring charts with 12 goals, five clear of Lamine Yamal, Kylian Mbappé and Sergio Camello, who are all on seven. 😳🔥
Even more frightening for Barça’s rivals is the connection between Raphinha and Yamal. The two attackers have combined for 26 direct goal contributions in just seven league games, showing why Barcelona’s attack has been so devastating at the start of the campaign. 🔴🔵💥
From being questioned to wearing the captain’s armband… from winger to central goal machine… Raphinha is writing a completely different chapter of his Barça story. 🇧🇷👑
August POTM. September POTM. 12 league goals. Two hat-tricks in one month.
Raphinha isn’t just having a good season.
HE IS ABSOLUTELY COOKING! 🥵🔥👑🔴🔵
