Anthony Gordon is wasting absolutely no time making his presence felt at FC Barcelona! 🥶🔥
The England international has quickly adapted to Hansi Flick’s attacking system, and although he is still waiting for his first LaLiga goal, his creativity has already become a major weapon for Barça. Gordon currently has 4 assists in 6 LaLiga appearances, making him one of the division’s leading creators.
And that is exactly what makes the comparison with Vinícius Jr. so interesting. 👀🇧🇷
Gordon’s biggest strengths have been his explosive pace, aggressive runs, direct dribbling and willingness to work for the team. Barcelona themselves highlighted his dribbling ability and described him as one of Europe’s talented, hard-working wingers when announcing his move from Newcastle.
The 25-year-old arrived at Camp Nou after establishing himself as a key attacker at Newcastle, where he scored 24 goals and registered 17 assists in 111 league appearances. Last season alone, he produced 6 Premier League goals and 2 assists.
Now he has stepped into a Barça attack packed with superstars such as Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, and Gordon’s energy is giving Flick another dangerous option from the wing. 🔥💨
What makes his start even more impressive is that he hasn’t needed goals to make an impact. His four assists have already shown that he can create chances and unlock defences, while his relentless movement gives Barcelona another dimension in the final third. 😮💨💙❤️
And the scary part?
Gordon may only be getting started. 👀🔥
If he adds goals to those assists and continues improving his chemistry with Barça’s attacking stars, the conversation around his level could become VERY different by the end of the season. 🚀
From Newcastle’s dangerous winger to a Barcelona attacker chasing trophies at Camp Nou… Anthony Gordon is beginning to look right at home. 🥶🏆
Barça fans, are we watching the birth of another attacking superstar? 👀💙❤️
