Bayern Munich are reportedly preparing a potential €90 million move for Barcelona star Dani Olmo, with the German champions considering a push for the Spain international in the January transfer window. 🇩🇪💰🔵🔴
According to the latest reports, Bayern have identified Olmo as a player who could add creativity, versatility and attacking quality to their squad. The 28-year-old can operate as an attacking midfielder, on either wing or even as a false nine, making him an extremely flexible option.
But there is an important twist…
⚠️ Bayern have NOT submitted an official €90m offer yet. Reports indicate that the club is preparing the details of a possible proposal, rather than having already placed a formal bid on Barcelona’s table.
Barcelona are reportedly looking for around €80m–€90m before seriously considering negotiations, while Olmo remains under contract until 2030 and has a reported €500m release clause.
The situation is becoming interesting because Olmo has not been a guaranteed starter under Hansi Flick this season. He has featured regularly but has had to compete with Fermín López for minutes, which has reportedly contributed to speculation about his future.
However, there is currently no indication that Olmo wants to leave Barcelona. That could be the biggest obstacle for Bayern. 👀
For Barça, €90 million would obviously represent a huge amount of money, but selling an important Spanish international in his prime would also be a major sporting decision.
🔥 Bayern want Olmo. Barça have a €80–90m starting point. But Olmo’s own decision could ultimately determine whether this blockbuster transfer ever happens.
