Jules Koundé has reportedly reached a historic milestone at FC Barcelona, becoming the French player with the most appearances for the Catalan giants! 🤯👏
With 194 appearances, Koundé is said to have overtaken legendary former Barça defender Éric Abidal, adding another remarkable achievement to his growing legacy at the Spotify Camp Nou. And to make the moment even sweeter, Koundé found the back of the net against Getafe! ⚽🔥
Since arriving at Barcelona, Koundé has established himself as a versatile defensive weapon, capable of playing at centre-back and right-back. His consistency, athleticism, and ability to contribute in attack have made him an important part of the team’s setup. 💪🔵🔴
But the comparison with Abidal is guaranteed to spark debate among Barça supporters! 👀 Abidal was a dependable defender who played a key role during one of Barcelona’s greatest eras, while Koundé is building his own legacy in a different generation. Both have their own strengths, achievements, and place in the club’s history.
🏆 With seven trophies reportedly already to his name, Koundé has another reason to celebrate. But does matching or surpassing a club record automatically make him better than Abidal? That’s where the real argument begins! 🔥
