The Academy production line at Kirkby is absolutely cooking right now, and Liverpool fans have a massive new reason to celebrate! 🚀 Fresh off the press from the AXA Training Centre, highly-rated 17-year-old left-back Cam Williams has officially put pen to paper on his very first professional contract with the Reds! 📄✨ Talk about a dream come true for a kid who has been living and breathing Liverpool FC since he was just six years old!
Born and bred in Liverpool, this local talent has been grinding through the youth ranks for over a decade, proving he has exactly what it takes to wear the famous Liver Bird on his chest. 🦅 Williams originally turned heads when he burst onto the scene with the U18s during the 2024-25 season, famously scoring a spectacular individual goal in a thrilling 3-3 draw away at Stoke City. ⚽💨 His explosive pace, defensive poise, and attacking threat quickly made him one of the most exciting defensive prospects in the entire setup.
But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing, which makes this massive milestone taste even sweeter! 💪 The young defender faced a devastating setback when a long-term injury sidelined him, tearing a huge chunk out of his previous campaign. Instead of letting it break his spirit, Williams put his head down, conquered his rehab, and made a triumphant, roaring return to pitch action at the start of this season. 📈 His incredible resilience hasn’t just impressed the coaching staff at Kirkby; it also earned him international recognition, with the youngster already gaining valuable caps for Scotland at the U17 level! 🏴🔥
