Manchester United could be facing a major headache over one of their most exciting young talents, with reports claiming that 16-year-old JJ Gabriel and his camp have made a series of demands during discussions over his future at Old Trafford! 😳🔴
And the situation is becoming increasingly interesting because Real Madrid are reportedly confident of securing his signature and are waiting for his final decision! 👀💣
According to reports attributed to The Times, five requests were presented to Manchester United during negotiations.
Here is what has reportedly been demanded! 👇
🔴 1. THE NUMBER 77 SHIRT! 👕
Gabriel reportedly wants to wear the number 77, a request that would give him a distinctive identity if he continues his journey at Manchester United.
🔴 2. “GABRIEL JR” ON HIS SHIRT! 😳
The young forward reportedly wants the name “Gabriel JR” printed on the back of his shirt, another detail that has attracted attention amid the discussions.
🔴 3. FIRST-TEAM TRAINING ONLY! 💥
One of the biggest reported demands is that Gabriel train exclusively with Manchester United’s first team rather than continue through the usual youth-development pathway.
🔴 4. GUARANTEED PLAYING TIME! ⏱️
His camp reportedly requested at least 20 minutes of playing time in three specific matches. This is perhaps the most controversial demand, as guaranteed appearances can be difficult for any club to promise.
🔴 5. A SEVEN-FIGURE ANNUAL SALARY! 💰
The final reported request concerns a salary worth seven figures annually, potentially representing a significant financial commitment to a player who is still only 16.
FIVE DEMANDS. ONE MASSIVE DECISION. AND A FUTURE THAT COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING! 🤯🔥
Reports suggest Manchester United have rejected several of the requests and now expect the youngster to leave.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are reportedly monitoring the situation closely and believe they have a chance of bringing him to Spain. 🇪🇸⚪
For United, losing a highly rated academy prospect would be disappointing. The club must balance its ambition to develop exceptional young players with the need to maintain a clear pathway, sensible financial structures, and fair competition for first-team opportunities.
For Gabriel and his representatives, the decision is equally significant. Remaining at Manchester United could offer continuity and familiarity, while a move to Real Madrid would present a different environment and a new challenge.
However, being wanted by a major club is one thing; earning a place in its first team is another. At 16, his long-term development matters far more than the excitement surrounding a transfer battle. 💎⚽
Nothing is settled until a final decision is made, and the reported demands and Real Madrid’s confidence should not be mistaken for a completed deal.
👀🔴 MANCHESTER UNITED FANS, LET’S TALK!
If these reports are accurate, should United stand firm on their principles, or should the club do more to convince JJ Gabriel to stay?
And if Real Madrid come calling, would you blame the youngster for considering the move?
