Pau Cubarsí delivered another impressive performance as Barcelona defeated Real Betis 5-2 away from home on Saturday night, helping Hansi Flick’s men maintain their perfect start to the La Liga season! 💎⚽
While Lamine Yamal grabbed the headlines with his spectacular goal and assist, Cubarsí quietly demonstrated why he has become such an important part of Barcelona’s defensive structure. The young Spanish centre-back showed composure on the ball, intelligent positioning and the confidence to contribute when his team needed him most. 👏🔵🔴
🔥 CUBARSÍ DIDN’T JUST DEFEND, HE HELPED BARCELONA ATTACK!
One of the biggest highlights of Cubarsí’s performance came in the second half when Barcelona were looking to extend their advantage. Following a dangerous set-piece delivery from Lamine Yamal, Cubarsí rose to challenge the goalkeeper and directed the ball back across goal, allowing Eric García to finish and make it 4-2.
It was a crucial contribution that demonstrated his ability to influence matches at both ends of the pitch. Not every defender possesses the awareness and technique to turn a defensive set-piece situation into a decisive attacking opportunity! 😮💨🔥
His contribution was particularly impressive because Barcelona needed to maintain control during a match in which Real Betis threatened to make things uncomfortable.
💙❤️ COMPOSURE, CONFIDENCE AND INCREDIBLE PASSING!
Cubarsí’s ability to play out from the back remains one of his biggest strengths. Rather than panicking when opponents apply pressure, he looks for intelligent passing options and helps Barcelona move the ball into midfield.
Against Betis, he completed 105 of his 108 passes, an outstanding 97.2% completion rate. Those numbers underline his importance to Barcelona’s possession-based approach and show why Flick trusts him in high-pressure situations. 📊👏
At such a young age, Cubarsí already plays with remarkable maturity. He understands when to keep things simple, when to step forward and when to use his passing ability to break through an opponent’s press.
Of course, being a modern centre-back requires more than accurate passing. He must also read danger, win important duels and remain concentrated against quick attackers. Those are areas where continued experience will help him develop even further.
🔥 BARCELONA HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT ON THEIR HANDS!
Cubarsí’s development is particularly exciting because he represents the kind of defender Barcelona have been searching for: someone comfortable defending space, confident with the ball and capable of contributing to the team’s attacking play.
His partnership with the other defenders will be crucial as Barcelona continue their pursuit of domestic and European silverware. The season is long, and tougher challenges will arrive, but performances like this demonstrate why the young centre-back remains such an exciting prospect.
Barcelona’s 5-2 victory over Betis extended their La Liga winning streak to nine matches, taking them to 27 points and 39 goals scored. Cubarsí played his part in another memorable night for the Catalan giants. 🏆💙❤️
🚨 PAU CUBARSÍ IS NOT JUST THE FUTURE OF BARCELONA’S DEFENCE. HE IS ALREADY MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN THE PRESENT! 💎🔥
At his age, producing performances with this level of composure and responsibility is no small achievement. If he continues developing at this rate, Barcelona supporters could be watching one of the finest centre-backs of his generation. 👑⚽
