LUKE SHAW BELIEVED MAN UNITED COULD WIN THE PREMIER LEAGUE, BUT THE TRANSFER WINDOW ENDED WITHOUT A SINGLE NEW SIGNING!

Luke Shaw sent a powerful message after Manchester United’s victory over Ipswich Town at the end of August, making it clear that the players believed they had what it took to challenge for the biggest prize in English football.

“We believe we can win the Premier League. I’m confident that a couple of new players will come into the squad. It’s necessary to make the squad stronger.”

Those words showed the confidence inside the United dressing room, but they also revealed something important: even the players understood that the squad needed strengthening.

Shaw believed United could fight for the Premier League title, but he also expected reinforcements to arrive. New signings could have brought more quality, depth and competition, giving the team a better chance of competing with England’s strongest sides.

But then came the big disappointment.

Manchester United made no further signings. Despite the optimism and the expectation that fresh faces would arrive, the squad remained without the additional reinforcements Shaw had anticipated.

That leaves a huge question for the club’s hierarchy: if the ambition is to win the Premier League, why not do everything possible to build a squad capable of achieving it?

The players can believe, the fans can dream, and the manager can make his plans, but competing for major trophies requires quality, depth and the right investment.

Luke Shaw’s confidence was clear. The ambition was there. But the expected reinforcements never arrived.

Now, the real question is whether Manchester United can turn that belief into success with the squad they have.

DID MAN UNITED MAKE A BIG MISTAKE BY FAILING TO SIGN MORE PLAYERS, OR IS THE CURRENT SQUAD GOOD ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE FOR THE PREMIER LEAGUE TITLE?
