FC Barcelona are reportedly making an ambitious effort to convince Spanish midfielder Rodri to join their project, with the Catalan giants allegedly going as far as matching the salary previously offered to him by Real Madrid! 😳💣
According to SPORT, Barcelona made an extensive attempt to win the Manchester City midfielder’s favour, involving several important figures at the club, including sporting director Deco, head coach Hansi Flick and president Joan Laporta.
This was reportedly not just a routine transfer enquiry. Barcelona allegedly wanted Rodri to understand how important he could be to their long-term sporting project, with the club prepared to make a serious push to bring one of Spain’s most respected midfielders to Camp Nou. 💙❤️
🔥 DECO PRESENTED BARCELONA’S SPORTING PROJECT!
Deco reportedly explained Barcelona’s sporting vision to Rodri, outlining the role he could play in the team’s future. The midfielder’s intelligence, composure, passing ability and tactical discipline would make him an attractive option for a Barcelona side that values control and dominance in midfield.
Rodri’s ability to dictate the tempo, protect the defence and organise possession is precisely the kind of quality that could strengthen Barcelona in major domestic and European competitions.
☎️ HANSI FLICK REPORTEDLY MADE A PERSONAL CALL!
One of the most interesting details in the report is the alleged personal intervention by Hansi Flick. The Barcelona manager reportedly contacted Rodri directly as the club attempted to convince him to consider the move.
Flick’s involvement would underline how highly the midfielder is valued within the reported recruitment plans. Barcelona are looking for players capable of making an immediate impact while helping establish a strong foundation for the future.
💎 DANI OLMO AND LAMINE YAMAL ALSO REPORTEDLY GOT INVOLVED!
According to the claims, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal also encouraged Rodri to consider joining Barcelona.
Having familiar faces around him could be an advantage if the midfielder were ever to consider a move to Catalonia. Olmo knows Rodri from the Spanish national team, while Yamal represents the exciting young generation Barcelona are building around.
Imagine Rodri controlling the midfield while Pedri dictates possession, Olmo finds spaces between the lines and Yamal attacks defenders on the right flank! 🤯🔥
That combination would certainly give Barcelona supporters plenty to dream about.
📞 LAPORTA, FLICK AND DECO REPORTEDLY HELD A DECISIVE VIDEO CALL!
Another major claim concerns an alleged video call involving Laporta, Flick and Deco. The report suggests that Barcelona’s leading figures joined forces to communicate their ambitions directly to the Spanish international.
Such an approach would demonstrate the level of commitment Barcelona reportedly showed in pursuing the midfielder, although the details of the discussions and their outcome remain unconfirmed.
💰 BARCELONA REPORTEDLY MATCHED REAL MADRID’S SALARY OFFER!
Perhaps the most eye-catching claim is that Barcelona were prepared to match the salary previously offered to Rodri by Real Madrid.
If accurate, this would suggest that Barcelona were willing to compete financially to strengthen their chances of attracting him. However, salary is only one part of a transfer decision, and factors such as contractual obligations, sporting ambitions and Manchester City’s position would also be crucial.
🔵🔴 COULD RODRI BECOME BARCELONA’S DREAM MIDFIELD SIGNING?
Rodri has established himself as one of the leading defensive midfielders of his generation. His experience at the highest level, positional awareness and ability to dictate games would make him an exciting potential addition to Barcelona’s midfield.
However, there is an important distinction between reported interest and a completed transfer. These claims do not confirm that Rodri has agreed to join Barcelona, that an official offer has been accepted or that Manchester City are prepared to let him leave.
For now, the reported pursuit is an intriguing transfer story rather than a confirmed deal.
👀 CULERS, IMAGINE RODRI IN A BARCELONA SHIRT!
Would you welcome the Spanish midfielder to Camp Nou? And if Barcelona could sign him, would you prefer Rodri alongside Pedri in midfield? 💙❤️🔥
