Chelsea could be preparing a stunning move for Liverpool superstar Florian Wirtz, with reports suggesting that Blues manager Xabi Alonso has advised the club’s hierarchy to monitor the German international’s situation ahead of a potential transfer in 2027! 😳👀
According to recent reports, Alonso would welcome the opportunity to reunite with the attacking midfielder he coached at Bayer Leverkusen, where the pair enjoyed tremendous success, including their historic Bundesliga title triumph in 2024. 🇩🇪🏆
💙 WHY DOES ALONSO WANT WIRTZ AT CHELSEA?
Alonso knows Wirtz’s qualities better than most managers. During their time together in Germany, the Spaniard helped develop him into one of Europe’s most exciting attacking midfielders, with his creativity, movement, vision and ability to unlock stubborn defences making him a key figure in Leverkusen’s success.
Bringing him to Stamford Bridge could give Chelsea another world-class creative option, particularly if Alonso believes he can help the 23-year-old rediscover his best form in a familiar tactical environment. 🔥🔵
🔴 LIVERPOOL’S POSITION COULD COMPLICATE EVERYTHING!
Wirtz joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen in 2025 for a reported fee of around £116 million, arriving at Anfield with enormous expectations.
However, his adaptation to English football has attracted criticism, and speculation about his long-term future has intensified. Chelsea are reportedly monitoring developments, while Bayern Munich are also believed to be interested in the German playmaker.
Nevertheless, Liverpool have not indicated that they are ready to sell, and Wirtz is reportedly determined to prove himself at Anfield rather than abandon the challenge so soon. 👀
💣 COULD CHELSEA MAKE THEIR MOVE IN 2027?
Reports published on October 22 suggest that Alonso has encouraged Chelsea to consider pursuing Wirtz if an opportunity arises next year. However, Chelsea are reportedly monitoring the situation rather than actively negotiating a transfer.
Any potential deal would likely be complicated by Liverpool’s huge investment in the player, his long-term contract and the possibility of competition from Bayern Munich.
For Chelsea supporters, the prospect of seeing Wirtz linking up with Cole Palmer, João Pedro and the club’s other attacking talents is certainly an exciting one. Imagine the creativity and attacking combinations that could emerge! 🤯💙
But the biggest question remains: would Liverpool even consider selling one of their most expensive signings to a direct Premier League rival?
Chelsea fans, would you welcome Florian Wirtz to Stamford Bridge? 🔵🔥
